When you quit smoking do the affects go away?
I’m 20 years old, I’ve been smoking for about 7 months now, about a pack a day, I recently quit and I was wondering does the build up of tar or anything else resolve? I’m a vocalist in a band and I’ve noticed it’s been a lot harder to hit my high notes, and I also get short of breath doing it. Does anyone know if that kind of stuff goes away?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I quit smoking, how long will it take me to start feeling better?
I quit smoking 6 days ago and I feel kind of tired and depressed. I only smoked about half a pack a day for about 5 months, if that makes any difference. How long will this last?

When you quit smoking, how long did it take for the anxiety to subside?
Hi, Ive been smoking about a pack a day for 3 years now. Lately I’ve been trying to cut back/ quit, but when I do I feel AWFUL. It’s not a sick or ill feeling, it’s just a feeling like something should be happening. This is probably just anxiety, I know, but it’s a terrible feeling. How long did it take you to feel normal after you quit? Did you feel any anxiety or something like it?

How to quit smoking for good?
Is there any way to quit smoking for good and NOT light up again? I am 18 years old and smoking cigarettes turned my life upside down. A pack a day since I was 14. Smoking is not the consequence of anxiety but it is the cause. How can I get myself to actually STOP smoking for good? I have gone a day without smoking successfully but then I find myself lighting up again. It’s as if I don’t have control over myself and will power doesn’t work. Help! It’s destroyed my life.

How can i get my dad to quit smoking?
He is being stubborn about it, and i am getting worried. He is now in his 40’s and hes been smoking since his 20’s. He has quit before but he always goes back to it. He smokes about a pack a day but it is hard to tell because he doesn’t smoke at home only at work(he does construction, so it is easy to do at work) I want to convince/help him quit for good. Is this possible? Any suggestions, similar situations, smokers are welcome (maybe you can help me understand)

When is it too late to quit smoking cold turkey while pregnant?
I just found out I’m pregnant, yay! I havent gone to the doctors yet but I estimate that I’m anywhere from like 3-6 weeks pregnant. I smoked around a pack a day before I was pregnant and I dont want to quit cold turkey if there is a chance that it would do more harm than to just keep smoking. So slowing stop smoking or is it perfect timing to just QUIT? Legit answers please. Thanks!

How long did you crave cigarettes after you quit smoking?
I am bound and determined to quit smoking, it’s been two days since I’ve had a smoke. I used to smoke a pack a day. I went cold turkey, and am using nicotine gum But the cravings are still really strong to smoke. I know individual experience will vary, but how long did it take for your really bad cravings to go away?

How much does smoking age your skin? Is this damage reversible if you quit at a young age?
I am 20, and I have been smoking a little over a pack a day since I was 13. My skin is becoming dry, irregularly colored, and I have recently noticed two deep lines on my forehead. Is it possible to reverse this damage if I quit smoking now, or am I forever doomed to look older than I actually am?
