When you quit smoking do the affects go away?

I’m 20 years old, I’ve been smoking for about 7 months now, about a pack a day, I recently quit and I was wondering does the build up of tar or anything else resolve? I’m a vocalist in a band and I’ve noticed it’s been a lot harder to hit my high notes, and I also get short of breath doing it. Does anyone know if that kind of stuff goes away?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

How do I stop smoking with no support from friends or family?

I am almost 7 months pregnant, and I have tried many times to stop smoking. I am attempting once more. I get a lot of pressure from my fiancee who also smokes. Also, he seems unwilling to even try to support me through this. My "friends" still light up right in front of me, to the fact where I have to leave the room just to not be around the smoke. Is it even possible to quit with all this going on? Any suggestions?
