  1. i smoked sice i was 14 and quit when i was 19 so 5 years and i used the step patch system too! it was easier than i thought i chewed a lot of gum and sucked on lots of candy and the thought of smoking made me sick because if you smoke with the patch chances are you will thorow up another thing i did because i liked to smoke when i drove i put a little sticky note on my steering wheel and the top reasons why i wanted to quit! good luck just be strong!

  2. Sorry, but only weak willed trash smokes these days. With the proof about what it can do to you and others there is absolutely NO!!! reason to continue.

  3. Screw you uscmedguy… I am a smoker and am I no means weak willed trash… I know exactly what smoking can do to my body… I know the consequences of it… And your telling me as an ex smoker you didn’t know what it did to your body?… But you still smoked… Yeah… you quit… Just like the person who asked this question is trying to do… You are a hypocrite…

Anyway… Yes it is hard quiting… I have tried… I guess I am "Weak Willed Trash" cause I havn’t yet… But I do plan trying the patches and gum… Good Luck sweetie and Good Luck ttc…

  4. If you work. Leave you cigarettes at work do not bring them home not even on weekends. If you go to a bar do not bring smokes. BUM them people will just stop giving them to you. Then after a week or two of keeping the smokes at work cut down to 1 a break with no in between smoke breaks. then after being down to 4 smokes a day it is much easier to stop.

  5. yes, i know that once you start smoking you might get fat but a nicotene patch might work and if you are trying to have a baby, talk to a doctor about smoking and wanting to stop!

  6. I’m 25 and have smoked since 12 years old. I’ve tried the gum, the patch and the hypnotist. I smoked with the patch on, the only thing was that the patch made my arm weak. When I went to the hypnotist, I must have fallen asleep when he told us to close our eyes while he hypnotised, because as soon as I walked out of that session, I lit one up. Finally, I tried the laser therapy thinking nothings ever going to help me quit. Well, here I am a non-smoker for 5 months. I thought nothing would ever help me quit, but this was way easier than I thought. It only costed me $200, so I think it was worth it. If the patch doesn’t help than try the laser therapy… There’s got to be a way to help you quit. I know how hard it is to quit. Some people say to slowly cut down, I try that and it doesn’t work. As long as you have more cigarettes, it’s not going to be easy to just smoke 1 or 2.
