What is the best way to quit smoking after 31 years?

I really want to quit smoking and I am on wellbutrin, and it helps, but how about replacing the habit? It is so hard! Has anyone been through this?

  1. MY DAD QUIT AFTER 30 SOME ODD YEARS DUE TO BAD HEALTH. THE DR GAVE HIM PATCHES AND NERVE PILLLS TO HELP STOP THE CRAVINGS.

  2. I did the auriculotherapy 3 years ago and it has worked for me. I think you have to also really want to quit and changing your routine helps. I did it on a Friday and then went on a weeks vacation, my routine for the week was not my normal everyday routine so I did not have my habit cravings (ie: after lunch or on breaks at work). By the time I got back from vacation I knew I had went a week without and I was not going back. Plus I am tight with my money and knowing I spent the money on this treatment I was not going to throw that money away, it was going to work! LOL! Worth a shot and you will feel sooo much better after you quit. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck!

  3. Chewing Gum. Keeps you distracted 🙂 thats how my dad quit after 25 years. He just had a bit of gum everytime he had a craving for a cigarette. Be careful though, the first one or two weeks you may feel a little lost while driving, etc, but i think its the best way to quit without medication 😀

  4. My Mom quit after 50years of smoking. She used chewing gum and hard candies when she had a craving to smoke. It worked for her!
