If i quit smoking will my asthma and panic attacks reduce or go away?
I get nervous in public and can hardly breath, and i panic. Now if i quit smoking and get an inhailer will this make a drastic improvement?

If your shortness of breath is due to a panic attack it probably is due to you hyperventillating and not asthma, so an inhaler may not help.
Smoking has various effects on the brain so quitting may or may not help panic attacks, but it would be the best thing you could do for your health in general.
See your primary care doctor who can tell if you have asthma or not and may be able to prescibe medication that can reduce or eliminate your panic attacks (like Zoloft).
Probably not, but who am I? If your body is used to smoking, which it probably is, than do what makes you breathe and relax best. Go and try both in similar situations.
im not sure if they are directly related or not but they will probably reduce. panic attacks aren’t usually caused by smoking but the nicotine definately isn’t helping, if you can find the main reason for them (are you depressed? stressed out?) then you will feel better in general. you will always have asthma, meaning you will still have asthma attacks every now and then but i recommend quitting, it’s way better for health anyways.
but it’s your body do what you want, i’m not gonna try to preach to you like some people.

It may reduce because of you will have less smoke entering your lungs and hurting your bronchioles.
not drastic but there will for sure be a difference for the better… especially in the long run.
