  1. I quit smoking 20 years ago. I smoked for 25 yrs up to 2 or 3 pks a day. I drink moderately and don’t miss having a cigarette one tiny little bit. It was probably a wee bit difficult when I first quit but I got over it. The fact that there are so many places now where a person can’t smoke was very helpful. Hope you can make it. Not only is it expensive (as you know) but it really is bad for your health. The last several years I smoked I was seeing a dr all the time because of bronchitis. I was lucky I didn’t get emphesema. Good luck to you.

  2. Yes, but I find its better not to allow yourself to smoke at all, even if you tell yourself its only when you’re drinking. I haven’t allowed myself the temptation of even one or two puffs and that has what has kept me smoke free. All my roommates smoke and so do a lot of my friends but I quit about 4 yrs agobut I’ve never smoked again.

After a few months your taste buds come back to life so drinks are still enjoyable, maybe even more since you taste them better!! Stay strong!
